Yeah, you heard right! I am an old retired guy. I just retired from a 27 year career with the fire service here in Louisville, Kentucky. All though, it was a great ride, I could have not ever made it to this point in my life without the encouragement and support of my fellow firefighters. I wish to say THANK YOU all for the fun, the tears we shared together when a fallen firefighter was announced, training and yeah more trainings in the freezing cold and burning summer. We all had our hands full at the 1994 Hazards Materials fire TBA, and would could ever forget the Haven Hill fire in Bardstown. You was there right next to me and your presents made me fill safe and proud. I will be starting a new life, I plan on getting my feet wet as a Park Ranger and Naturalist in the near future, maybe I will se you in the parks and forest. But, first I must complete a 2,185 mile trek from Georgia to Maine starting in March and ending in October, 2015. Again, thank you all for a wonderful career that made me proud to go to work each shift day.
