Yes. Vomiting is often a consequence of heart attack, and sudden death, especially after eating airline food. Given the lack of bleeding, and the prior chest pain, and the patients medical history, this is most likely an in-flight heart attack. None the less, NO cursory exam would reveal presence or absence of Ebola.Heart attack CAN occur concomitantly with Ebola infection, especially if a coronary artery were to leak, then clot, or rupture. Proper containment protocols were not implemented by the Port Authority, despite advance warning of the inflight death. While apparently, CDC was only notified after the fact of the landing and subsequent disembarkation of passengers and the dead man. So, once again we have another case of a potential hazard from a West African traveler. A temporary 21 day travel restriction might indeed seem appropriate to some. Of more concern to me, is the need for development and IMPLEMENTATION, of a containment protocol for future incidents.
