... Yesterday, Elder Morgan and I had probably our favourite day of the whole week. It was full of amazing mercies from the Lord and incredible spiritual moments. We taught the Dicha family (picture attached - missing 2 daughters, one took the picture, the other was at home). They are Iraqi Christian refugees and are the sweetest family ever! The Lord truly led them here, as a friend warned them of the threat to their lives, they packed up all their belongings, left behind two homes and a business and the father carried their bags over a mountain, while the rest of the family crossed the boarder to get into Syria. From there they went to Lebanon and then the UN helped them come to Colorado. Its an incredibly touching story, and I feel so blessed to have met them. We have been teaching them about the Gospel, and how it will bless their lives. Theyve been reading the Book of Mormon and coming to Church and absolutely loving it! As we met with them yesterday, we taught on baptism and how important it is to Our Father in Heaven to make that promise with Him, that we will follow Jesus Christ for the rest of our lives and that as we take upon ourselves the name of Jesus Christ, keeping His commandments and serving Him to the end - we will truly have everlasting joy. We invited them to be baptized, and they were all super excited about it - especially the father. Well be talking about it more next week and setting a date for them and doing all we can to help them prepare for it. It was incredible. I truly love them, and am so grateful for their faithful example. - Elder Mazankowski
