Yesterday I got called with my written test results. My MRI results showed damage to my right frontal lobe. Which the previous 2, including the one from the day after I woke up paralyzed, were normal. So, in a way, Im glad I have proof of why my body is doing this, and in a way Im kinda sad. But my EEG came back normal. So, no definite answers on why the seizures. Or what they will do to stop them. UAMS neurology clinic called me last week and once they get everything they need record wise, I will be going there. The neuro-opth recommended I see the neuro-surgeon to get a shunt placed in my brain, not only to relieve the pressure, but also to preserve my eye sight and hopefully give me full mobility again. I dont know what this means in ways of treatment for the seizures. Ive actually have been coming a long ways with my body. I can move my arm a lot more, until it gets tired. My leg I still drag, but if I concentrate hard enough, I can lift it somewhat as well. Ive been practicing standing unassisted and trying to bear weight on both legs and every day I can do it longer. I didnt stop my physical therapy once they couldnt come out anymore. If anything, Ive been pushing myself harder. I want to get away from my walker and move on to a cane by the first of March. Thats my goal. My husband will have plenty of time to make me a gorgeous cane in the shop before then :)
