Yet another noreaster is aimed for the Northeast this week bringing coastal rain and wind and a decent dumping of snow for the interior especially in the higher terrain. The first map shows the track of the low developing off the Southeast US coast late Monday night and pushing north toward Long Island, New York while strengthening on Tuesday and Wednesday. The second map shows rainfall amounts by Wednesday morning. Note that not all of this will fall as rain especially as you work your way into the interior Northeast where colder air will reside. Were looking at a pretty heavy rainfall for the big cities of the Northeast along the I-95 corridor; about 1 to 2.5 inches on Tuesday into Wednesday. There may be some river flooding concerns for the region. The third map shows a very windy Wednesday for the Northeast region including #WashingtonDC, #Baltimore, #Philadelphia, and #NYC. Winds out of the northwest will howl at 15 to 30 mph with higher gusts. Finally, the fourth map shows probability of a snowfall greater than 8 inches from Tuesday morning into Wednesday morning. #Noreaster #snow #winterstorm #rain
