You and I are in for a treat. The iPOD song is early - TopicsExpress

You and I are in for a treat. The iPOD song is early Chicago...from their second album. There is sadness with the history of this song. First of all, trombone player, James Pankow, wrote the song and the late Terry Kath sang it on both the album and in concerts. Secondly, the sadness was the untimely death of Terry Kath while playing with a loaded handgun. After Kaths death, the band didnt play the song for years but eventually brought it back to concerts with Bill Champlin on vocals. Today Robert Lamm gets the honors. Even though this song was given plenty of radio airplay, it was never released as a sing although it did appear as the B-side of Make Me Smile from 1970 and the B-side of Beginnings the following year.
