You be the detective! Ive been searching for a lost hiker, Bill - TopicsExpress

You be the detective! Ive been searching for a lost hiker, Bill Ewasko, in Joshua Tree. What makes this missing persons case so intriguing is a solitary clue: a single cell ping, three days after he disappeared, that originated 10.6 miles (give or take) from the tower. Despite the vastness of Joshua Tree, theres actually fairly few places that fit this description. I was able to find a new spot that is a candidate for the ping location, in a place that was much further from Bills car than previously thought, where there has been little or no searching up to this time, and which is right next to a wild and remote area of the park. Ive been able to show that the entire journey could have been made in a cell dark zone. Thats the area Ive been searching, and recently the main person searching has been looking around there too. Theres one big flaw to this theory (well, theres more than one, but this is the most obvious): that Bill could get to this point without crossing any trails, EXCEPT one, towards the end of the journey. This is a video of me intersecting the trail much as Bill might have, in a low light situation. Its a good test of whether Bill could have missed it or not. Can you see the intersecting trail? youtu.be/J7zvsVei8Hc
