You have to realise that due to being unable to source certain parts for it and being given the run-around when I did find parts I wanted I had to improvise somewhat. To the Die Hard resto folks I say: My Humber will still be on the road in 40 yrs time. I have made some modifications to it and OK so it isn`t a fully restored Original, But what I`ve created is a one off and will carry the Humber name well in to the future when 99% of Humbers today will be rusted away. It has already been featured in Street Machine, and in Custom Car, and has won a shed load of awards including Best Street Rod 1999/2000/2001/2002 and is also used as an everyday car. It now houses a Ford Lincoln 460ci V8, Fully Blueprinted, with forged steel pistons and a race prepped crank, High lift cam, Wade 421 Powerstack and the option of Nitrous. It runs a C4 trick box, and a 9 inch locker diff. Pushes 845 Bhp without the nitrous and a mere 1200 Bhp with. It can do a standing quarter mile in 9.4 seconds (which is over half a second faster than some Super Gassers. However it can be driven anywhere and everywhere as a day to day car. The entire interior has been replaced with that of a cadillac sedan deville, Full Velour, fitted perfectly with no alterations. And before you say OMG! What a waste, remember this car has taken 27 yrs to complete. And is now a 100% rust free Humber, with a difference.
