You know, birthdays are a hoot! I heard from people I love, I was surprised again and again by such thoughtfulness, and this year, I was amazed by the newest event-planner in the neighborhood, Samantha Patton. She had all the ideas for this gala, and lined up the support staff she needed to execute her plans [Sara Patton and Ruthie Showers]. Join me in the fun =) Samantha planned it all: balloon-delivery [she rode her 4-wheeler quite a distance, and needed JohnPort to give it a ride home since it got dirty on the trail], a hand-made card from one nature-lover to another, a game of Pin the Tail on the Kitty [John placed his kitty tail way in the air and Sara and I placed our kitty tails on the ground, which was hilarious since Samantha thought they looked like worms], a home-made birthday cake [Ruthie supervised the cake-baking and addition of lots of orange icing and chocolate chips], activities that included a mosquito hunt [she and I love bugs] and some crafts [check out the toes on the horse...she said she would be back to finish the cat-body another day]...life does not get much better than this =) I am truly blessed with delightful neighbors and friends and family! Thank you ALL from the bottom of my grateful heart for your well-wishes. I love you!
