You know things are about to get REAL when the VNA drops off a chemo sharps container, four bags for the fridge and another goodie bag. Josiah had his clinic appointment today to kick off the second half of the hardest part of his chemo. He got/is getting four types of chemo today, including a spinal tap and a new oral daily chemo, with an IV chemo continuing at home the next three days. These will most likely make him very sick to his tummy so we are keeping him on two meds for that around the clock, and delivering a rescue drug (to flush the chemo out) 48 and 60 hours after his spinal tap was done. His counts will most likely drop by the end of next week, and we were told this can cause fevers easily, which means staying at the hospital. Please pray for: ease on his tummy, no fevers, and counts to keep rallying so he wont need the blood transfusions this phase normally necessitates.
