You know youre from Barrie when: There was the 11 Bayfield route that would run the entire stretch of Bayfield between the transit terminal and Georgian Mall with 15 minute service during the daytime and 30 minutes during the evening and Sunday. December is when Bayfield would run every day at 15 minutes including Sunday from the first day to Boxing Day excluding Christmas Day. I really miss the 11 Bayfield route. Had a good loyal ridership, frequent service and consistency along with the full buses where sometimes, drivers would try to request everyone to move back or tell passengers at the stop to wait for the next departure if it was too full of course. At least when people were shopping on Boxing Day, they wouldnt have to wait half an hour, it would be every 15 minutes from 7 AM until I think it was 8:15 PM is when all routes finish while every other route ran 60 minutes. Those were some better experiences where anyone that lived in Barrie long enough would have taken Bayfield at one point in their life.
