You move into a new house, you spend thousands of dollars to buy new furniture. But you spend most of your time outside the house, whether be working or busy with something, you only come home to sleep. Your furniture just sits there and collects dust, its yours, you own it, but you dont get to sit on it, or enjoy the luxury of it. Its just there. Useless. We often get so excited to acquire knowledge, whether be Islamic or Secular, but in the midst of it all, we forget to actually apply what we have learned, in our daily lives. The empty house described above is what an informative individual looks like, who doesnt apply what s/he has learned in their lives. May Allah swt protect all of us from becoming such people. Roti for thought. :)
