The Cosmopolitan Quartet are an edgy young French pop string quartet. This atypical quartet, founded in 2012 at the Royal College of Music,London, was born from the members many musical influences (from classical to jazz, pop and electronic) and their repertoire spans many genres, from Ray Charles and Guns n Roses to Metronomy. The award-winning members of this quartet have collectively performed solo throughout Europe, the US, the Middle-East, and Canada. They all maintain busy freelance schedules, performing with chamber groups and in orchestras, under conductors such as V. Ashkenazy, E-P Salonen, Lorin Maazel, in venues such as Cadogan Hall, the IRCAM, la Maison de la Radio, Wigmore Hall, Ronnie Scotts and even X Factor. The Cosmopolitan Quartet has had sell-out performances throughout France, Hamburg and London. Lison, Clara, Jordan and Maia were part of the string section for Rod Stewart 2013 UK Tour.
