Youve heard us ask you to participate in our online auction, Shop-a-Paw-Looza. You might be wondering how can your bids help pets at the MD SPCA? Little Beans will tell you: I was brought to the Maryland SPCA by a nice person who found me scared and covered with itchy fleas. My mouth was so sore I was losing my teeth, and I had a large ball-like mass under my skin on one side of my seven-pound body but not on the other. I was gently given a bath that soothed my itchy skin and given medicine to take away my pain. The doctors discovered that the ball under my skin was actually my kidney. That doesnt sound good does it? But, I trusted the doctors that they would make everything right and boy did they. After my surgery I received lots of TLC for several weeks until I was as good as new. I let everyone know how thankful I was for their help by giving them loving wags and kisses on their hands. Thanks to everyone who supports the MD SPCA through fundraisers like Shop-a-Paw-Looza, I now have a new family who loves me and some furry siblings to play with. Im one happy, healthy little Bean!
