about strangers part 2 and retail corruption about the corruption on retail l2 The people in that room are developers. You would have to punch Namgung Gon, who as the global L2 producer is responsible for everything that happens at NCWest and whose decision it would be, after consultation with CEO Kim Taek-jin, to close down NCWest (like in the past with L2SEA). This is a simple business decision. In the meantime they have found a way to keep L2@NCWest ticking over with only two employees (Cryo and Juji). Vali, Spam etc. are Aion staff who devote maybe one or two days per week to Lineage 2. As long as people are dumb enough to buy NCoins there is no reason why they should shut their milk cow down :D The corruption at NCWest is more serious than you might think. As I have mentioned on the previous page, NCWest gets a major part of its revenue from people who buy items from the L2Store and sell them in-game for adena. So they are dependent on there constantly being a large supply of adena available, which after the drop nerfs since Lindvior can only be procured by bots. Ban the bots -> less adena -> less sales from the L2Store -> bosses in Seoul are unhappy -> heads roll. Leave the bots alone -> plenty of adena -> plenty of sales from the L2Store - bosses in Seoul are happy -> promotions all around. This is technically called kickback, and in a real-life context we would be far into corruption. But since it says nowhere in the EULA that NCsoft undertakes to say the truth, things like the use of 3rd party software is prohibited or we hate bots just fall under the heading hypocrisy  The real problem is Namgung Gon, who is a highly manipulative person and always ends up shooting himself in the foot. What he wanted to say with yesterdays post is we are reading your suggestions and take them seriously. Many of the voters in the poll just wrote things like Up up! or Items are good, but there were also several thousand thinkworthy suggestions (the thread had reached more than 10 pages on the first day of the poll). Wondering whether anybody reads through all of this is legitimate. But what people see now is developers who are still in the pen-and-paper stage, not sitting at their computers test-playing hunting grounds. So the impression is that the developers are really as clueless as they pretend to be. In reality its probably more like Knight said - the current polls are just a preview, a careful announcement that the level cap will be raised, testing the player reactions. What was a bit surprising though is that the Korean players so unequivocally voted against more items. No Dragon Armor for Draecke, at least in the next update :P source boards.rochand/viewtopic.php?f=52&t=1229&start=80
