anyone who has breakdown cover with the RAC we urge you to ring and cancel it. today after a horrific incident on the M40 this morning where 3 women were travelling to a dog show in their camper van with 12 dogs and it broke down and were left in the dark waiting for 3 hours on the hard shoulder of the road. after the RAC refused to pick them up because of the dogs on board. subsequently the camper van was hit by a lorry and the women are lucky to be alive, but one lady is fighting for her life in intensive care.. sadly 3 of the dogs were killed, which one of the dogs were a puppy. this could of been prevented if the RAC just came out and even moved them to a safer bit on the road. but no, just because they had dogs with them they refused to move them and now the company has blood on their hands.
