everyone who knows me knows that I am traditionally a personal person. I share very little about my personal life with people, outside of a select few. I am posting this so that people who want to know how my wife is doing know, and so that I am not responding to hundreds of individuals. As many of know Elizabeth came home from the hospital the first of June. When she came home she was talking, not perfectly yet but talking. She had difficulty walking, but she did manage to walk with support. The hope was that she would continue to improve and I could have my wife back, and the boys could have their mother back. In the 3 months after coming home however, she got steadily worse. She could barely walk and barley speak. Most often I had to carry her around the house to use the bathroom, get to bed, etc. Her condition was regressing both physically and mentally. Last week with her doctors help we placed her back into a rehabilitation center where it is hoped she will get some effective 1 on 1 therapy. The ultimate goal is to get her well enough to again return home, but this is problematic. The fear from the nursing and therapy staff is that she may be too far gone to ever recover in a meaningful way again. Though I have hope that she can recover, I acknowledge the fact that this may not be possible. This being the case there is a possibility that she may need long term care in a care facility. I hope and pray that this is not the case. Please remember her in your prayers, and God willing she will continue to recover once again
