heartbreaking...near drowning this past summer. Please pray for Eddie. Pray for Sweet Eddie Hello everyone. Eddie is not doing well. As a father it is devastating to see my son suffer even more than he already has to date. It seems that the combination of having his g-tube yanked out and two back molars coming in at same time have put him in major distress. His heart rate has been over 130 bpm for the past couple days and as of this morning has been over 150 bpm. Mind you, before Friday his heart rate was in the 70-80 bpm range on average. The facility has been cycling him on Tylenol, Motrin, morphine and Ativan, with little effect. His blood pressure has been high, precipitating the doctor to order new blood pressure medication to replace the Clonadine patch which was to have been dcd as of Friday. Additionally, he has been exhibiting seizure like spasms at times. We are in a wait and see posture, looking at maybe a possible adjustment in dosage to help alleviate his heart rate. We here are all praying for him and hope the medicines will do their job. But we humbly ask that you especially keep Eddie in your thoughts and prayers over the next couple days while he weathers this episode. They have and continue to help Eddie and now is a time he needs Gods help even more. Here is my little lion this morning, drowsy, resting. It was the first time Id seen him blink, even if slowly, in a long, long time. He was letting me know he was there. Thank you Eddie, keep fighting my son. I will update again if any changes.
