it has been 37 weeks. 261 days. over 6,200 hours since i decided to drop everything, email my professors goodbye, skype my parents with tears running down my face, and tell Nate that i was deciding to transfer out of university of cincinnati. i miss that school so freaking much, i miss everyone that watched me slice up my hand with exact-o knives, and i miss the amazing professors that told me everything i did wrong (professionally and kindly.) even still, despite as fantastic UC was, transferring was the biggest and best decision i ever made - game design was the big crazy dream in the first place, and coming out of high school, i took the stable future over the big ambitious decision to just say screw it and do what i love. well, screw it, im gonna do what i love. and thats concept art. and 3-D modelling. and brainstorming and story development and staying up for 72 hours pulling my hair out before a release date. i get to start over at this school so dammit, i am. im going to go downtown every day, and make no more excuses to sit on my butt in my room and play WoW until the sun comes up. and if i am going to do that, then it better be at a LAN party or a club or just a bunch of cool people (which is not hard to find around here.) target after-hours last night just made me realize that its time to come out of my shell, work hard, and party hard. i love ALL OF YOU and i cant wait to open a big old can of columbia college chicago whoopass. id put shout outs to everyone that i miss and ive met but i literally have too many people to shout out to. i might still try. yeah, im gonna try. tl;dr UC is behind me and columbia is gonna be awesome.
