ive never gotten into a physical fight with anyone. I never did in high school...not with my brothers...never.Ive never lost my temper to where I got aggressive. PLUS im not that quick to sign myself up to get my behind whooped. Lol Just a little background...I worked as a cashier at food lion from age 16 to age 22. And I know what its like to have a customer belittle you, make you feel inefficient because youre just not fast enough and laugh at you. SO. A few minutes ago I stopped at the Dollar General in Hays. The young cashier had a line of five folk but ya know WHO COMES TO A DOLLAR GENERAL AND DOESNT EXPECT TO WAIT IN LINE. Anyway, moving on, there was a forty year old lady behind me, obviously suffering greatly from that entitlement disease, who was calling the cashier slow, fat, worthless, dumb...and guess what I LOST IT. The following JUST happened. Me (turning around): in my opinion the cashier is working as hard as she can and deserves some respect. old Lady: Well I didnt ask for your opinion. Me: well I didnt ask to hear your opinions. old Lady( 2 inches from MY FACE): listen here girl, im your elder SHOW SOME RESPECT. Me: Respect is given when its deserved, and youve proven yourself to be undeserving. old lady: just you wait! Im calling corporate on you! ...oh yea...cause Dollar general corporate is going to find my name...find my address...and then serve me with a complaint. I think my laughter made more of an impression that my fist ever would.
