just posted the following on Campbell Newmans wall last week and awaiting a response I wish to better understand the current climate regarding the VLAD legislation and am very concerned about the impact of VLAD upon ordinary Queenslanders I may be wrong but it does seem that VLAD legislation is contrary to the social contract arising from the Imperial Laws which are still applicable in Queensland including the Magna Carta and the Bill of Rights: A).the presumption of innocence before conviction: and B.)the right to freedom of association; and, in legal disputes, C.) for the onus of proof to be upon the accuser 1. Why has the LNP enacted the VLAD legislation when VLAD which seems contrary to the Imperial Laws of the Magna Carta and Bill of Rights both of which still apply in Queensland?? 2. Why, in the VLAD legislation, is the onus of proof upon the accused to provide negative proof? 3. How can anyone who is charged using the VLAD legislation provide negative proof of non-association or non-participation? ie how does one prove a negative?? 4. Why was the presumption of innocence before conviction suspended ? 6. Why was the right of freedom of association suspended? P.S. I will be happy to discuss this topic in any appropriate venue of your choosing please let me know when you are ready to chat
