ok...general contractor/cabinet maker types: WHY (oh why lord) would the space that was meant for a stove in my kitchen be less than 30 inches? When we moved in there was a 24 stove there, but the space is clearly made for a larger stove. The next size up is clearly a 30 inch, and the space is about 29.5 inches wide...was it just poorly installed, or ??? Was it meant for a slide in style stove? (There isnt any platform or anything, just a space) Also: If it is just poorly installed; do we have any options other than new cabinets or a 24 stove? Is there a 29 freestanding stove out there?
