rayer comes before everything. But that does not mean it IS everything. If the house is to be built, we must toil. Few things are done by prayer alone. I spoke of those who pray little and work a lot, but some pray a lot and work little. There is often an emphasis placed on prayer that suggests that all we have to do is pray and believe and God will do the rest. Joshua was noted for his great faith, but he had to fight. The builders must build. We must go! We must preach the gospel. Spiritual warfare is impossible without the Word of God, because the Word is the sword of the Spirit, and the Word must be used in the way intended – it must be proclaimed (Romans 10:8-15). It is not a magic wand. Waving the Bible at the devil, or shouting a text at him will only amuse Satan. It is obedience to the Word and preaching the Word that worries hell. God bless you
