reposted from my friend David... This day will go down in NYPD history. We have not had an assassination of two uniformed police officers since P.O. Gregory Forster and P.O. Rocco Laurie were shot down, ambushed on the street in the confines of the 9th Pct. by the B.L.A., on Jan. 27, 1972. Then P.O. Eddie Byrnes assassinated in the confines of the 103rd Pct. on Feb. 26, 1988. Murdered in cold blood for being police officers...for representing and protecting American values and standing between civilization and chaos. Now these two young officers will join Officers Forster, Laurie and Byrne to serve as a reminder to those who protect society to not let their guard down for one minute, to not let the apathy of the public and the outright hatered of others stop you from continuing the fight. The politicians have turned their backs on you for the sake of their political futures. I will do my best to ensure that they are not re-elected to ANY office. Your blood is on their hands. May you Rest in Peace....Fidelis Ad Mortem.
