so far i have picked up two Birthday parties and a school fundraiser in salem county. One party is Dec. 28th in Bogota, and the other is Jan. 3rd in jackson. The fundraiser will be may 9th. We also have a party tentatively set for January 31st, and 2 more in June...lol We are off to a running start this year with stuff all over the map once again. I was considering starting the points system with the January 31st event, but i want to make sure all sponsors are included that want to be. i currently have 3 or 4 considering joining us, but with the time needed to get cars and signs together, i believe out original plan of starting point in March will work best for everyone involved. Another note, i am hoping to revamp our main speedway to accomodate more drivers during a race. we currently have a single 8 drivers station on the frontstretch where we keep 8 cars and controllers. As can imagine, its gets pretty cramped, especially when adding in another 4 or more drivers for our Campground Tour events. what we want to do is make it so we can have a drivers station on the backstretch as well, so drivers can participate from both sides of the track. One way of doing this will be incorporating sponsors signs and the walls in one piece. The signs would be smaller, but will be just as visible and not so bulky . instead of the signs being 12 tall, they would be around 8 tall in order for the drivers who are standing behind them would still be able to see the track in order to race. Does anyone have an objection to this? i figure instead of just having sponsors on the backstretch, i can now have them all the way around the speedway. Id like your input either way. Thanks guys.
