theres a long black train comin down the line, feeding off the souls that are lost and cryin. Rails of sin, only evil remains...watch out brother, for that long black train. Look to the heavens, you can look to the sky, you can find redemption staring back into your eyes. There is protection and theres peace the same, burnin your ticked for that long black train. Cause theres victory in the Lord, I say...victory in the Lord. Cling to the Father and his Holy name, and dont go ridin on that long black train... - Josh Turner (Long Black Train) I chose a portion of a song this morning, not because Im unhappy, not because Im trying to sway souls to religion. I heard the song again yesterday; it stuck with me and got me to thinking about people who face depression, addiction, adversity....whatever it is that holds them back from being truly happy and appreciative of life. Ive said it before...we all face or have faced challenges in life...that is simply inevitable as those challenges are presented to us to help teach us something...a life lesson, something about ourselves. It is important to be there for family and/or friends when they are in need. First, however, you must take care of self...as you can not help others if you are depleted in energy, emotion...and faith. It is said that courage is the ability to act despite your fears...faith is what carries you through it. And, yes....the sun will always come after the darkness. Deep thoughts for the morning, I know...be kind to yourself and to others. Good morning and have a great day!!
