this is a tough one, but the truth is sometimes tough. this mom lived in a gun culture, someone said she lived her life surrounded by guns. her husband bought her a gun-concealing purse for a christmas present. i find plenty of irony there. unfortunately, she didnt secure the gun, it was loaded with the safety off and within easy reach of a TWO year old. Her dad says she was, not irresponsible. but the circumstances dont support that. She felt she needed to have a loaded gun to go to walmart...she paid with her life, and her child will have to live with this as soon as he finds out, and you know he will find out. If there is any saving grace here, it is that no other innocent shopper was involved, besides those who had to deal with the carnage. if you think this cartoon is distasteful you are right, because the truth behind it is plenty distasteful. if we as a nation dont do something about the guns in this country this is what we have to look forward to. taking a hard and unpleasant look at what actually happened is the first step. This is the reality of our country
