with the economic boom petering out, those who benefitted from it r angry with the government for the national food security bill (NFSB) because it is paying attention to the needs of the underprivileged for a change... the bill can be seen as the other side of the "stimulus" coin.the 2008-09 stimulus was used by super rich to buy real state in London n other European cities .at that time no one seemed to find anything inherently wrong at this massive ,disproportionate allocation of resources for so few. none of it was invested to create job here instead govt was blamed for the corporate sector`s misplaced priorities. if subsidised food can reduce the food spending of the poor , n place some more money in their hands ,which then spent in india, that may end up stimulating domestic consumer demand .it could be a kind of stimulus lite, for the poor. i consider both NFSB n The Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition ,Rehabilitation and Resettlement Bill is Pro -Poor. SO parliamentarian must be applauded for their conduct n certainly passing bill in Loksabha. source; the hindu
