youtube/watch?v=jVsw3nJRbhg&feature=youtu.beOur Son, Bently Spang, MFA, who is an Artist, Curator, Performance Artist, Author, Photographer, etc.. did his third Teckno Powwow for the University of Wyoming at Laramie. We went down to observe and were blown away. In his Indian of the Future persona he brought together three diverse types of ethnic dance groups, Powwow, B Boys and Maori dancers (from New Zeland where Desi Rodriguez and Kevin Lone Bear, fellow Tribal members, live) and each dancer showed what they could do and then challenged each other - you aint seen nothing yet until you see a Powwow Dancer do a complete B Boy flip and have a B Boy slide thru his legs as he came down. The Maori are an awesome fiery group who stepped up to the challenge of both the others, At the end the audience was invited to round dance and so many responded there were three circles and few left sitting.
