My 1st employer!!! The Great Bank once made me Highest paid MBM of 1st Batch back in 1999. The one who made lots of history in Bangladesh Banking Industry. The one who have suffered lots of set back & regulatory supper vision. The one where owner started confronting each other in public. The one for whom Govt have to legislate Bank Company Act and defined Owners & their interest related activities! I saw how its Prudent Management save the Bank from Bank Run out. But every time UCB came back with pride believing its core The loyal & professional Employees !!! I saw how they kept customer & created loyal customer, how they brought back runaway customers after the disaster! I was there when Eshna(what ever) work at UCB, but the Great owners continued believing employees!! The organization that BANKaccommodated its previous employees at top tier management to re-branding for good. Last few year we observed how they started aggressive recruitment, where the generous owners(BoD) had few influence(the nasty image they carried for long). I watched my mates & lil brother flooded in to UCB from other Banks, special from a 2nd generation Bank irrespective of talent, merit professional knowledge & experience! They posted on top. I know some of them from my teen-hood!! Marring Top managements Gopali relative made peoples fortunate to reach VP/SVP/EVP position. There might be other justification of the management but when you know the person from childhood you might taking as usual since you are in BANGLADESH. The last management should carry the nasty name for recruiting People they know only! Taking generosity of the Board they did what ever they wanted on recruitment!! They started the Regime of Faridpuri-Gopali & Prime Regime at UCB. People flooded in UCB at different management stage with handsome pay! Now the price paid by some innocent & ignorant old employee who stayed with UCB in Good & Bad days. They paid this price since they dont changed with them selves with the current demand of the Banking Sector by enhancing their professional expertise over time!!! On those old days I got only 1 promo over the span of 9years(Joined as Officer Gr-IIIA)! As per HR rule; minimum qualification for promotion was 3.5-4years service at the same grade. At the same time my Batch mates in other BANK has excelled their career progression. That induce me to leave my loving UCB for good(mine & UCB). Still Love you UCB where I have started professional life and my father also contributed for this fine BANK! I dream that I would end my career contributing this Excellent 1st Generation PCB! Inshallah!!!
