[–]onezerozeroone 30 punten 3 hours ago The next 50 years or so are going to be all about how the middle east gets carved up between the U.S., Israel, China, Russia, and existing major Arab powers. Things are just too unstable and corrupt with too many resources at stake to let things devolve further. ISIS is going to get smeared into a thin sheen of simmering rebellion and resentment coating the majority of an Arab world dominated and subjugated by the US and other major powers. Its 2014, the rest of the world has moved beyond Dark Age tribal bullshit and has no tolerance for anything that jeopardizes the $$ or conflicts with our new, modern, bullshit. The only reason its been tolerated up until now is because the oil was kept flowing. For all their bluster, Russia and China have both given in to the inexorable march of capitalism. In contrast to Africa, which nobody actually gives a shit about, if the Muslim world wont adapt and be assimilated voluntarily, it will be forced upon them.
