28 November 2014, marks the 239th Anniversary of the US Navy Chaplain Corps. The Continental Congress through the second article of U.S. Navy regulations stated that the Commanders of the ships of the thirteen United Colonies are to take care that divine services be performed twice a day on board, and a sermon preached on Sunday, unless bad weather or other extraordinary events occur. Today Navy chaplains serve with Navy, United States Marine Corps, and U.S. Coast Guard units. Pray for our Navy chaplains and all those they serve.
