AIR POWER DISCUSSION-ANSWER Who Is The Controller Of This World, God or Satan? The world was created by God and handed over to Adam by God to rule over it. And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Genesis 1:26 The devil deceived Eve to eat of the forbidden tree and that incident had serious spiritual implications. The first was that, Adam died spiritually because God had warned him about this already. But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it:for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. Genesis 2:17 This meant that, man will be separated from God; that was why Adam was driven away from the presence of God. Another implication is the devil became the god of this world. And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them:for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. Luke 4:6 The devil told Jesus power over the world was delivered or given to him by someone. Who was that? Adam because he had control over it. The word delivered is the Greek word paradidomi which is also used in describing the betrayal of Jesus by Judas. After this incident the devil became the ruler or God of this world. In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. 2 Corinthians 4:4 That is why there is so much wickedness in the world but one day, Jesus will come back to the earth, banish the devil and restore his kingdom. I cant wait for that day!
