Am I such a slow learner? In 1933 I saw the movie "Svengali" starring John Barrymore. He mesmerized me and for the next 10 years I tried to learn the art of hypnotism. I bought books from Johnson & Smith (15 cents) etc and spent many hours starring at myself in the bathroom mirror--to no avail. During 1942-in the Army I connected with a circus magician-who alsk knew a little about hypnosis- which he imparted to me- and I hypnotized my first subject. Studying and practicing by the following year I was the greatest and most knowledgeable hypnotist in the world.Now after being exposed to, studying etc after 80 years I became disillusioned to find that there is still a lot that I do not know and need to learn. When we quit learning and assume that we know it all we are shutting down our mind and the mind starts to decay. My friends--never stop learning- and please keep an OPEN Mind----Blessings---Norb
