At last, the list of handpicked delegates of Goodluck’s CONFAB is out. 483 handpicked delegates without any power to discuss ‘Nigeria’ or do anything. They can’t do anything because everything has been done for them. The leadership of the confab has been handpicked. The venue & hotels has been handpicked. How they will talk has been decided. And of course, the billions to be spent is safe in handpicked banks. All democratic norms have been violated. At least, what we can all agree on is that any thing that comes out of this money-guzzling CONFAB must not read, “WE THE PEOPLE OF NIGERIA”. May be they should consider: “WE THE WINNERS OF THIS LOTTERY” There are, of course, jubilation at the houses of the handpicked delegates particularly those who won the lottery not the big boys. I don’t think 150,000 naira per day allowance and N7 million participation gbemu in Ghana-Must-Go can create any form of excitement among the big boys in the confab. They have already looted billions; they & Goodluck are the true owners of the CONFAB. Their intention is to use the confab to create confusion among the masses in order to protect their private property. Jubilations are more in the houses of the Reuben Abati-like people who won the lottery, the NGOists who for some reason refer to themselves as ‘civil society’. To them, god don butter their bread. If you want to make them cry, say they must declare their assets before they go for the CONFAB. Or since some of them who have OCCUPIED delegate seats claimed to be disciples of Lenin, tell them that they must forfeit their allowances to the revolutionary organization, you will see their true colors. They said that this REALITY SHOW should last for 90 days, may be it can compete with Big Brother Africa. ------------------------------------------ Funny, it seems JAF agitation ground has the highest concentration of CONFAB handpicked delegates; is this a plus or minus? Na wa o! At least, people with financial problems know who to go to for their own share of the national cake.
