BWgovernmentCHANGES IN CABINETHis Excellency the President has, in accordance with Section 126 (2) of the Constitution, granted Honourable Pelonomi Venson-Moitoi leave of absence from her ministerial duties at the Ministry of Education and Skills Development. Honourable Venson-Moitoi has been appointed to undertake a special assignment within the Ministry of Education and Skills Development. This assignment will effect from 01st April, 2014 until further notice. The focus of the special assignment will be to oversee the development of the Ministry’s Education and Training Sector Strategic Plan, which is a project undertaken in collaboration with international cooperating partners. The purpose of the project is to develop a comprehensive and holistic plan for the education sector, as well as harmonise and prioritise policies. It also seeks to factor in issues of performance management and monitoring and evaluation of education sector programs. The importance and magnitude of the assignment is such that it will require the full time attention of Honourable Venson Moitoi.Honourable Mokgweetsi E. Masisi has, as a result, been appointed to act as Minister of Education and Skills Development while Honourable Shaw Kgathi is appointed to act as Minister for Presidential Affairs and Public Administration. Honourable Vincent Seretse has been appointed to act as Minister of Youth, Sport and Culture for the period in question. Honourable Rakhudu has been transferred to the Ministry of Education and Skills Development as the second Assistant Minister.Mr. Richard K. Matlhare is transferred to the Ministry of Education and Skills Development as Permanent Secretary while Ms Grace Muzila is appointed Coordinator, National Aids Coordinating Agency.Eric M.
