Clarendon conductor chopped, dies on bus after threat by schoolgirl A bus conductor was this evening chopped to death in May Pen, Clarendon. He has been identified as 34-year-old Kirk Baker of a Jacob Hut address in the parish. Preliminary reports indicate that the incident occurred about 6:30 at the gate of the Sevens Road bus park. The driver of the bus told The Gleaner/Power 106 News Centre that the incident took place about two hours after a school girl threatened the conductor during an altercation. According to the driver, while the bus was picking up passengers, he queried the whereabouts of the conductor who he later saw running towards the bus telling him to drive. The driver said while he was driving from the park, he heard sounds coming from inside the bus. After driving several metres, he said he called for the conductor, but was told by a passenger that the conductor fainted. He said he drove the bus to the May Pen Hospital where the conductor was pronounced dead on arrival.
