Do the victims of rape experience more horror than the rapists in prison? Yes. Do the families of murder victims experience more torture than the murderers themselves? Yes. Maybe rapists deserve to be raped themselves, and forced to watch while their loved ones are raped, tortured, and then brutally killed. Maybe they deserve to have their limbs cut off, and then tortured mercilessly for as long as we can keep them alive. We dont do that though. We may, in our anger, want to, but we dont. Our nation is losing its humanity, and its Christian influence, that keeps us from becoming so barbaric that we degenerate into a hate-filled, vengeful society. No human law can ever give the full punishment that anyone deserves. Only God can do that, and one day He will. I expect hateful thinking from Muslims, but not from followers of Jesus Christ. Loudly proclaiming the pain that victims of 9/11 have experienced as justification for the treatment of terrorist prisoners is nothing but the rhetoric of hate and vengeance, and is better fitted to a barbaric, third world, Muslim society.
