From a member: Deployed to Iraq in 2003. After I got out of the Army Ive been having nightmares about being chased and trying to find somewhere safe. And when I do find a safe place, the doors wont lock. The past 2 nights my nightmares were a bit morbid than usual. The other night I woke up to a dream where a soldier got hit and I couldnt save him and I cried. Last night I dreamt that I got shot. Felt paralyzed in my sleep. Now see, even if we have been in combat zones in OIF 03, we were never ambushed or have been fired upon. Explosions yes and running to a safe zone while SCUDs were being launched. I guess what Im trying to explain is that I cant make any connections to my nightmares. Or maybe there is a connection that I dont see only because Ive never been in a fire fight like how most who have had rough times out there have and actually have nightmares. I dont know. I feel like these nightmares wont go away. Anyone else experiencing nightmares?
