Guys I am struggling to understand my nutrition timing and requirements for long runs (anything over 12km) ...if I am doing a crossfit comp.. then lean mince and sweet potato in the AM 2 hours before works great.. on Sunday when I did 17km I had chicken and sweet potato about 1.5 hrs before and 6kms in needed to make a #2... not fun .. thank goodness for Constantia Mugg and Bean :) .. but I do not want this happening on race day... since I only do a long run weekly there is not much opportunity to experiment.... what do you eat and when for a long run? The night before?? The morning before??
