If you have ever had a question about the actions of the Muskegon City Council you should pay attention and watch this! I know its hard to sit through because the Council refuses to simplify ANYTHING! Pay attention to the constant debate that is on going with the Medical Marijuana Ordinance during this commission meeting. The ONLY person on this commission that was well prepared was Commissioner Johnson the rest of them do not act like they represent the people of their city! PAY ATTENTION PLEASE Get involved and call your city council! If you live in the City you should be at these meetings using your voice! BECAUSE OF THIS MEETING MY HUSBAND & I REFUSE TO MOVE TO THE CITY OF MUSKEGON! Absolutely sickening & heartbreaking! I for one refuse to live in a community where the commissioners refuse to listen to their people! The following are my opinions... Muskegon City Commission Meeting The camera truck if they want it they should be raising funds to continue updating it! This is NOT a need! Fruit trees are a great idea and a big achievement in the goal of becoming a self sufficient community! 2013-14 Caper (basically an audit) available on the City Website I will not be addressing this any further unless I decide to do business in the City of Muskegon...That is not currently an option due to the ignorance and inaction this board has shown! Road Mileage Is Hemp going to be looked into in the City of Muskegon to save money on street repairs and help the community to become self sustainable? Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is the very definition of insanity...this is what this commission is doing when it comes to street repairs. Honestly how much does it truly cost to spend some time researching what hempcrete could do for this community! Unacceptable and irresponsible! Marijuana Ordinance Signage will not be allowed means what? This is in direct conflict of Our United States Constitution FREEDOM OF PRESS! The zoning is absolutely ignorant Provide education to the community instead of removing freedoms! END PROHIBITION is an idea that has been presented to this commission many times...take a STAND & ASK YOUR COMMUNITY WHAT THEY WANT TO DO! Building means starting small and raising goals $1500 and $1100 is NOT STARTING SMALL! Thank you Commissioner Johnson for standing with the people in West Michigan to providing education! & Thank you for starting a much needed conversation! As for the rest of the commissioners Within this item you are pushing the peoples opinions to the side and making your own uneducated and selfish decisions! We the People not only elect you but we also expect you to speak as our voices! :) Counting plants as an excuse for inspections shows the council and/or attorneys and/or law enforcement have a major lack of trust for the people they are supposed to serve! I am not impressed with the attorney that was present at the meeting, she does not know the laws without looking them up and she has been wrong many times before why should we the people trust this commission when making decisions for the people when they refuse to listen to the words the people have to say! This commission is more focused on MONEY than actually providing intelligent & achievable solutions to creating a healthier, cleaner & safer community & future! The answer is simple End Prohibition and create goals that are achievable! Lastly on this subject in order to provide a solution you need to understand the problems! One of the most unacceptable and reoccurring issues with caregivers is that many do not have the compassion it takes to help those that truly need it! Places like Deuces Wild Smoke Shop L.L.C. help the community with compassion in their hearts and time spent all while making money one of the lowest priorities! This council could learn something from the amazing, compassionate and intelligent humans in the Deuces Wild Community! What this commission did during this meeting was unacceptable and shows the lack of intelligence in regards to the United States Constitution and the benefits of Cannabis & Hemp! The proper term is Cannabis and that alone should be made clear! I do not understand the lack of compassion this Council is showing to their community!
