Lemon in some warm water to kickstart the digestive system. And - TopicsExpress

Lemon in some warm water to kickstart the digestive system. And then off to ballet with my baby girl and then some swimming with the kiddies. I read a post yesterday about finding balance. It was a great video post from Justine Switalla health and fitness ambassador. She was talking about how to find balance in your life and not becoming obsessed about your workouts, food, what you drink or shouldnt drink etc. In the bodybuilding industry alot of people dont have that balance and feel like they should be lean all year round. It can really mess with your head. I still see young girls posts that they are on the high whilst training and dieting for comps but they have no idea about the consequences afterwards. They honestly think that they will be able to maintain that physique. They are so quick and smartass to judge others and then they find themselves in the sane struggles later on. A pic of me below. 5kg of comp weight but I feel Ive lost muscle from resting and I am softer. Most people would say Im not fat. And your right, Im not fat. But when you do competitions and you become lean, and you gain 5kg, (which is completely normal) you feel fat. Being normal means having some fat! Some people can maintain a lean physique all year round but the percentage of those people is very, very low! Just be happy with yourself and how YOU are living. Dont obsess over food and gym. Thats not balance, its unhealthy and you will have issues later on. How long can you live on chicken, broccoli and rice?!? Is that really sustainable in the long term to maintain a lean physique? What about socializing with your friends? Will you be the one standing there with your water bottle while they are having fun? Perhaps as we get older we get wiser. I know that everyday is still learning curve for me. Enjoy your Saturday...with balance. :)
