MESSIAH BEFORE MASAWI Todays sermon was about the new - TopicsExpress

MESSIAH BEFORE MASAWI Todays sermon was about the new commandment that Jesus Christ gave us: Love one another. To love is not an option. The Pastor preached as led and prepared. Two men gave their lives to God and received Christ Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior and went to the altar for prayer. After the service I walked to the nearby market place to buy some Masawi for our daughter. As I stalled in the road, talking to our Men Of Excellence Chairperson a young man who was selling cabbages called out for me to get off the road as a car was coming our way. I thanked him, adding, Ithuna kaligcwali / Guva harizari / The grave never gets full. He was intrigued by my instant idiom and asked for my explanation of the same. I told him that his cry for me to get off the road was a sign of a sons love for his father. It was saying, Please dont rush to die for fear that the grave might be filled by all these people dying every day all over the world. There was no risk of my body having to decay in the open or fed on by dogs for lack of burial space in the full grave. No matter how long I delayed to die, no matter how many people perished before my turn, the grave cannot be filled. Therefore we might as well leave the roads to the cars and live long for us to enjoy life together. He was positively impacted by my sharing. I told him that some people will say yes to the cabbages he was selling while others will say no. Those who reject cabbages are rejecting cabbages and not him. Therefore he must not feel bad about it. Those who accept cabbages are accepting cabbages and not him. Therefore he must not get excited and think it is him personally who has been liked. His role was to move the cabbages and get the money. Every rejection he got led him closer to the acceptance he was looking for. Even those who reject Jesus Christ are not rejecting you who is sharing Christ with them. Those who accept Christ Jesus are similarly not accepting you the carrier of the good news but are accepting Jesus Christ. Distinguish between yourself and your product. Move the product and get the money. That is the essence of marketing regardless of what you are moving. He said his sister had the Masawi I wanted to buy and led me across the road, right there at the corner of Jason Moyo / 5th Avenue in the City of Kings and Queens, Bulawayo. He asked that I save his number and keep in touch with him since he really liked my words. As we got to the other side he said that he was fed up of the life he was living and wanted to change and become a Christian. He said, I drink. I smoke. I womanize. I said just as the eye cannot see itself or the tongue lick itself, he could not change himself. Only God could change him. I then shared with him the four spiritual laws. Fortunately he was familiar with the bible. He believed what it said and received Jesus Christ there in the market place. It was so wonderful. I told him that what causes people to do what they do is INSIDE them. The only way to have a car that needs diesel to fuel it is to change its engine from a diesel engine to a petrol engine. Likewise for him to change from the lost ways he was involved in to a righteous way there was a need for a change of his heart. It was in confessing with his mouth what was already in his heart, that love in the heart which when confessed gives faith to the suitor that he has been accepted as the lover. He then confessed his love of Jesus Christ and acceptance of the same as his savior. This was a wonderful moment in heaven and on earth as Muzas name was written in the book of life and he was redeemed for eternity. God is amazing and still in the business of saving souls. Hallelujah! Praise God will me and pray that many more who are seeking and ready to be born again will be found and assisted in making the most important decision affecting eternity. Once more praise God with us. After that we checked with the sister who turned out to have Masawi worth $1 and R5 only. I bought R5 worth of uxakuxaku / matohwe to bring the total to $2. Having got my $3 change I traced my way back to the car for my drive back home with my loving mother. Glory Goes To God. Amen. (c) Gilbert Mzenzi Mabasa: The Teacher 16 November 2014
