MUST GO! FOR SALE: Poronui aka Rue is a 9 yr. old, chestnut, 16.1h, gelding, OTTB. Rue came off the track at the end of 2012 and was restarted after some let down time. Rue had been shown some in 2013 with great success, and coming out in 2014 blowing them away in the show ring! Always in the top ribbons; held strong in his point standings with TASS, and MSA for what he competed out of there season. Rue is a laid back guy that likes an easy going environment. I classify Rue as the “Perfect Gentleman”, excellent ground manners, settle personality, and easy going under saddle. Rue has excellent conformation, is a gorgeous mover, really points his toe and stretches his shoulder, carry’s his head level and low like a pleasure horse, will round and get down on the bit when asked, easy in the mouth, has easy solid flying lead changes as well. Rue has been started over small x-rails/verticals, still a work in progress as we have been competing in future hunter/pleasure flat divisions all season, but this horse likes to take one thing at a time. The knees on this boy over fences are unreal! Very smooth, rhythmic, and SAFE! Likes a light hand and seated rider. Rue would be best suited as a hunter/pleasure/dressage horse. My belief, Rue would make a huge career in dressage from his movement but would excel in any direction as far as hunters or eventing go. Rue has been trail ridden, and taken x-country before with no issue! He is still green, especially with jumping so he would be best for a novice-intermediate rider on the flat, and advanced rider or trainer to help with jumping until he is more established and confident over fences.
