NIGERIA@53!!! As the Nigerian government 'celebrates' 53 years of independence, may they REMEMBER *That 69% or 112 million of our fellow countymen live below the poverty line and are yet to attain independence from hunger, want and deprivation. *That 26% of its active population (if we are to believe government statisticians) are unemployed. *That we are ranked as the 8th most corrupt nation in the world. *That we are the only OPEC country without functional refineries. *That the nation is rocked with its greatest security problem since the civil war. *That Boko Haram still strikes with impunity and unchallenged for hours in states where our C-in-C has already declared a state of emergency. *That in Rivers state, pubic gatherings are constantly broken up by CP Mbu on grounds of alleged protests against a president supposedly elected. *That while ASUU is on strike over #90 billion accruing over 4 years, certain people in Aso Rock whose stomachs are made of diamond consume #2 billion a year as feeding allowance. #GodBlessNigeria
