Open Heaven of Sunday 6th October 2013. HE CARETH Memorise: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. 1 Peter 5:7 Read: Genesis 12:6-8 And Abram passed through the land unto the place of Sichem, unto the plain of Moreh. And the Canaanite was then in the land. Genesis 12:6 And the LORD appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto the LORD, who appeared unto him. Genesis 12:7 And he removed from thence unto a mountain on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent, having Bethel on the west, and Hai on the east: and there he builded an altar unto the LORD, and called upon the name of the LORD. Genesis 12:8 Bible in one year: Genesis 47-50 Message God is God of greatness and He makes those who truly follow Him great. He can make you great spiritually. In John 14:12, Jesus says, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” If you are linked with Him, He will empower you to raise the dead, open blind eyes, unstop deaf ears, heal the lame, etc. You must believe on Him and allow your faith to grow to the point of producing the kind of works Jesus did, and greater works thereafter. This tells us that God is God of faith. In Romans 4:16-22, we read that God calls those things which are not as though they already existed, and they materialize in line with what He has spoken. If you will please God, you must be a man or woman of faith (Hebrews 11:6). If you can believe and obey him blindly, He will move on your behalf. You too can call what are not as though they are and you will see His faithfulness. Moreover, the God of Abraham is a God who loves worshipper if you check him out, you will find him building altars for God (Genesis 12:6-8; 13:1-4). God loves those who worship Him in spirit and in truth. A couple left Nigeria for America with three children. They left on government scholarship, but on arrival, the home government cancelled the scholarship and they were left stranded with nothing. They prayed but nothing happened and the man left for library. But his wife began to praise God as I had earlier thought members to try praise when all else fail. That day, a group of men on door to door evangelism visited and spoke to her of Jesus. When they finished, the sister apologised for not being able to offer them something because there was nothing in the house. They checked the fridge and kitchen and found it so. Thereafter, their leaders went to bring things for them. The following week, they assisted them with jobs. Their fourth baby as a result was named ‘He careth’. Have you prayed, fasted and tried everything you know how to do but witnessed no changed? Start worshipping Him. Worship moves God to attend to what was ignored. The Lord will reach out to you as you worship Him. ACTION POINT Are you facing a tough situation? Start worshipping the Lord now and expect your change.
