Posture tip: When sitting at your desk, sit right back into your chair. Have both feet flat on the floor with your knees equal to, or slightly lower than, your hips. Try to avoid crossing legs. Sit tall from your pelvis and low back area. When we do this, our shoulders automatically move backwards and we come out of the slump position. If you have trouble maintaining a good posture, you may benefit from rolling up a towel and placing it comfortably in the curve of your low back. Osteopathic treatment, postural advice and core exercises may help you to maintain good posture at work and aid in the prevention of low back injuries.
