RISEN....WILL WE FOLLOW There once was a man who was at a place where he could have received healing, but was never able to achieve it. 38 years, he tried. Can you imagine this, in his strength he could not and becoming more weakened through all those years, no one would still help him. Why? What could have been the situation that had gotten him there? What attitude may have manifested for all to see that no one wanted to help him? Mercy still had to have a part of his life, for he was still among the living. Although he was still bound in his infirmity, he would witness the healing grace upon others lives. Do you think that this would have changed his attitude upon his situation? Maybe he reached the point where he found it useless to even try anymore. He was content to die in his situation. How many people are content to die in their situation? The Spirit of God is still with us and He heals many different infirmities. Are we willing to ask God to intervene on our behalf? Do we believe it is possible? Will we embrace the Spirit that He has given unto us? Jesus looked upon the man and grace was given unto him. Has the grace of our Lord come to us? In truth, He has always been with us and is still here for us. The question remains, do you want to be made whole? Will we answer as this man had answered with reason why he was unable to made whole? Jesus was not wanting to hear why this or that. He commanded him to rise up and walk, take up thy bedding and move. This may have been just as we were. The Spirit of the Lord healed our brokenness, however, when the pressures press up against us who do we blame? The man could not find Jesus for he moved away as quick as he came to him. However, when he was alone in the temple, Jesus came to him. He spoke to him of the goodness that had come upon him. He also told him to sin no more, because if he chose to then a far more worse thing could come upon him. Do you suppose that the very thing that held him in place for 38 years was the very same thing that was coming to his mind, now that he had been made free? Gods mercies are abundant in our lives and His Grace is still with us. If we have been set free and the pressures of this life come to us. They come to us not for us to find fault of why they are there, but that we have someone who cares for us and has delivered us from many past situations. Nothing is impossible for the Lord, who has set us free. Why would we listen to the voices that try to take us back where we were bound? Changes come, but this is shown to us, His Spirit seeks us out and brings to us instruction of what we should and should not do. The questions remains, what are we willing to do? Jesus we thank thee for the abundance of mercies that you have shown unto us through thy life. We pray thee Holy Spirit that thy convictions would lead us into thy straight paths of righteousness which have been set before us. Let us not falter in our weaknesses, but gather in thy strength to move forward against all the pressures of this life. Peace, thy Spirit has brought upon our storms, and peace shall still be with us as we walk with thee. Jesus you received stripes for our healing and through thy blood you have washed us clean. Every piece of torn flesh, tear, drop of blood was done for our healing & the forgiveness of our sin. Every anxiety, stress, disbelief, doubt lay upon thee, we were all of that and more and you stayed upon that cross for us. Etch these visions upon our minds and thy Word upon our hearts that we would never depart from them. For it is thy love that has set us free from whatever bondages we may have been in and nothing that this world can present to us will be able to separate us from thy love. Keep us Lord, in thy arms this day, let us remain fresh in bounty of thy love. Amen JOHN 5 5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years. 6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? 7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. 8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. 9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath. 10 The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed. 11 He answered them, He that made me whole, the same said unto me, Take up thy bed, and walk. 12 Then asked they him, What man is that which said unto thee, Take up thy bed, and walk? 13 And he that was healed wist not who it was: for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place. 14 Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee. 15 The man departed, and told the Jews that it was Jesus, which had made him whole. 16 And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day.
