So both my boys are looking forward to tomorrow’s release of “Monsters University,” but the whole notion of “prequels” has stumped the 6 year old. The other day he asked why “Monsters University” didn’t come out before “Monsters, Inc.” I wanted to explain to him about diminishing creativity, brand loyalty, and exploitative consumerism…but to avoid sounding like a blathering idiot, I just said “I don’t know.”
