Well, we agree economic wise; but this right here should be read by ALL. Our schools have never been fully funded. Never. When you get out of the counties on the east coast of SC, you find buildings leaking; no air conditioning; limited pieces of technology and etc. It is know as the corridor of shame. SC Education is about to enter into debates that will do nothing more than corrupt an already corrupted, under funded and low achieving system, but still not to the level of achievement that our fellow students should be able to master. This summer, Summer 2014, our Governor rid the state of the high school exit exam; aka HSAP. Our Governors argument was and I quote that HSAP was hindering students from graduating and entering the workforce. And I rest my case here - If you, your friend and/or your child couldnt pass the HSAP exam, dont you think youre not ready to get out of high school? The exam is for 10th graders and was easy as 123 to me and several other fine graduates from Conway High. Thoughts? Comments?
